How far in advance should we book?
I recommend booking 4-6 weeks in advance, though I can sometimes accommodate shorter timelines.

What grade levels do you work with?

• Hands-On STEMnStration Workshop: Currently designed for elementary students (grades 2-5) but can be adapted for middle school (grades 6-8) and high school (grades 9-12) upon request.

• Inspirational Career Talk: All grade levels, from elementary through high school

• Combined Experience: Currently designed for elementary students (grades 2-5) but can be adapted for middle and high school upon request.

How many students can participate?

• Hands-On STEMnStration Workshop: Maximum 20 students, with each student using their own Snap Circuits kit during the session. If your class size is greater than 20, contact us to discuss breaking up into multiple sessions.

• Inspirational Career Talk: Any audience size, from individual classrooms to full school assemblies

• Combined Experience: Maximum 20 students. If your class size is greater than 20, contact us to discuss breaking up into multiple sessions.

What do we need to provide?

• For the Hands-On Workshop: Projector/screen (smart board preferred) with WiFi to access presentation, tables for students to work at, and tablets/devices for students to join Kahoot. It also helps to designate two students as helpers. I provide all Snap Circuits materials.

• For the Career Talk: Projector/screen with WiFi. Sound system is preferred to hear YouTube videos but not required.

• For the Combined Experience: Same as the hands-on workshop requirements.

Can programs be done virtually?
Yes! The career talk adapts well to virtual delivery. The hands-on workshop works best in person, but we can discuss hybrid options.

Can I buy Snap Circuits for home use?
Absolutely! While the exact model I use in my workshops is no longer available, Elenco makes several excellent alternatives that are just as effective for learning circuit concepts. I recommend the Snap Circuits Jr. SC-100 or the Snap Circuits Classic SC-300 as great starting points for home exploration. These kits are available through Elenco's website, Amazon, and major educational retailers.

Program fees vary based on format, duration, and location. Contact me for a custom quote based on your needs.

Serving Schools Across Guilford County

I work with schools, districts, and educational organizations throughout Guilford County. Virtual presentations are also available for schools outside my area.  Schools outside a 50 mile radius a travel honorarium will be requested.
